
Fifteen Individuals Arrested in Oxycodone Conspiracy
United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Davis Patterson, Dylan Patterson, Chris Dilley, Michael Andrews, Jesse Rinaker, Darren Stewart, Casey Stewart, Cole Gustafson, Evan Christensen, Thomas Layman, Corey Arnold, Nash Hammond, Donald Wiggins, Daniel Espinoza, and Benjamin DeSilva, all of Fremont, Nebraska, were arrested on September 25, 2012, for conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute oxycodone, a Schedule II narcotic controlled substance. This indictment is the result of a two year investigation into oxycodone being illegally obtained and resold in the Fremont area. The oxycodone was acquired by providing false information to physicians, pharmacists, and other medical providers, both in Nebraska and other states. The maximum penalty upon conviction of this crime is up to 20 years imprisonment, a $1,000,000 fine, and a 3 year term of supervised release. The initial appearances for all individuals are scheduled for Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 1:30 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas D. Thalken.
This investigation was a cooperative effort by law enforcement. The agencies involved include the III Corps Drug Task Force, Fremont Police Department, Blair Police Department, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Marshals Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. Secret Service.
