MILTON WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY IN BANK ROBBERY
CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- United States Attorney for the District of New Hampshire John P. Kacavas, FBI Special Agent in Charge Warren Bamford and Barrington Police Chief Richard Conway announced today that Sheri Fister, of Milton, New Hampshire, pleaded guilty to robbing the Citizens Bank located at the junction of Routes 9 and 125 in Barrington on August 26, 2009.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 3, 2010 in the United States District Court. Fister faces a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years. Under the advisory federal sentencing guidelines, Fister’s sentence is likely to be much less than 20 years.
The government’s offer of proof alleged that Fister entered the bank at 9:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. Fister produced an unloaded revolver which she displayed to the teller. Fister was given a sum of money and left the bank. Civilian witnesses saw Fister leave the bank and provided a description of her vehicle to the police. Additional investigation led the police to identify Fister as the bank robber.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Don Feith is prosecuting this case.
