Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council

Combating terrorism remains the number one priority of the United States Department of Justice.  Each United States Attorney’s Office has important responsibilities in the fight against international and domestic terrorism. As the chief federal law enforcement officer in New Hampshire, U.S. Attorney Kacavas chairs the Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council (ATAC), a high-level group of law enforcement and government officials whose agencies are involved in the anti-terrorism effort in New Hampshire. Meetings provide an opportunity for members to report on the status and progress of anti-terrorism initiatives, upcoming exercises and training opportunities, and to receive up-to-date information on a host of other issues.
The mission of the ATAC is to promote information sharing, provide training, coordinate the overall anti-terrorism mission, work closely with the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and aggressively prosecute any international or domestic terrorist or terrorism-related cases.
