Man who recorded girls with hidden camera pleads guilty to production of child pornography

CAMDEN, N.J. – A Morris County man today admitted using hidden cameras to record young girls in his home, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
Ronald Oshrin, 49, of Budd Lake, N.J., pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Joseph H. Rodriguez, to an Information charging him with one count of production of child pornography.
According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:
Oshrin admitted that between 2007 and April 2012, he installed hidden cameras in a bedroom and a bathroom of his home in order to record nine young girls in various states of undress. Oshrin edited the videos to produce still photographs and, during that time period, distributed the videos and the still photographs over the Internet.
U.S. Attorney Fishman credited special agents of the FBI Newark Division’s Cyber Crime Task Force, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Michael B. Ward, for the investigation leading to the charge.
The charge of production of child pornography to which Oshrin pleaded guilty is punishable by a maximum potential penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for March 28, 2011.
