Hate Crimes Working Group The LECC also plays a significant role in the Northern Ohio Hate Crimes Working Group. This group, which is co-sponsored by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI, is a consortium of approximately 90 members representing 40 local organizations and agencies. Its purpose is to educate the public and law enforcement on the prevention of hate crimes. The group is divided into two subcommittees: education/community outreach and law enforcement education. The meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
