Equitable Sharing The LECC promotes and facilitates the Department of Justice Equitable Sharing of Federally Forfeited Property Program with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and serves as a clearinghouse for inquiries about equitable sharing requests processed through the U.S. Attorney's Office. In Fiscal Year 2006, this District disbursed approximately $2,962,000 of judicially forfeited property to law enforcement agencies. Included in these disbursements were currency, proceeds from the sale of real and personal property and vehicles requested by local agencies for official use. Numerous check presentation ceremonies to state and local law enforcement agencies were coordinated by the LECC in large and/or highly significant cases.
