Muldrow Woman Sentenced To 30 Months For Concealing Sexual Exploitation Of Minors
Muskogee, Oklahoma - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, announced today that REBEKAH KOOL, age 35, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment, followed by 1 year of supervised release for Misprision of a Felony, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 4.
Charges arose from an investigation by Lieutenant Tim Keith of the Muldrow Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The defendant was indicted in July, 2012 and was convicted at trial on October 30, 2013.
The trial began with jury selection on Monday, October 29, 2012 and testimony on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. The jury deliberated less than an hour before returning with their guilty verdict.
The evidence presented at trial proved that on or about October 19, 2011, in Muldrow, Oklahoma, the defendant, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, to-wit, Federal offenses related to the sexual exploitation of minors, did conceal the same by assisting in the destruction of evidence, influencing testimony, and did not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States.
The Honorable Ronald A. White, District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, presided over the trial and hearing. The defendant was ordered to report to the Bureau of Prisons by noon on May 7, 2013, where she will serve her nonparolable sentence.
