United States Attorney's Office News Release

 

March 23, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of a one-count indictment* against Paul Stewart, a/k/a “Kevin Chance,” a native of Jamaica, charging him with illegal reentry after deportation. The indictment charges the defendant was found in the United States without having applied for permission to reapply for admission.

If convicted the defendant faces a statutory maximum of 20 years imprisonment, $250,000 fine, 3 years supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The case has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Anne Whatley Chain.
