Illegal Reentry Charged

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 15, 2011

 

Jose Antonio Moctezuma-Barragan, a/k/a “Cleofas Moctezuma-Barragan,” a/k/a “Jose Antonio Moctezuma,” a/k/a “Cleofas Moctezuma,” a/k/a “Rodolpho Perez Castillo,” 41, of Wilmington, DE, was charged by Indictment with one count of illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane D. Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about November 14, 2011, Moctezuma-Barragan, an alien, and native and citizen of Mexico, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about November 26, 1994 and August 16, 2004.

If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years imprisonment, a three-year term of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment.

The case was investigated by Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Sozi Pedro Tulante.
