Citizen of The Dominican republic Charged With Illegal Reentry
Rafael Minaya-Yanger, a/k/a “Rafael Minaya,” 38, was charged today by indictment with one count of illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about November 6, 2012, Minaya-Yanger, an alien, and native and citizen of the Dominican Republic, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about October 20, 2010.
If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years.
The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Bea Witzleben.
