Illegal Reentry After Deportation Charged

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 2, 2012

 

Julio Cesar Elvira-Santiago, a/k/a “Julio Cesar Elvira,” 28, of West Grove, Pennsylvania, was charged today by Indictment with one count of illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about January 9, 2012, Elvira-Santiago, an alien, and native and citizen of Mexico, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about February 25, 2010.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years in prison.

The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations and is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Amanda R. Reinitz.
