Man charged with possession of counterfeit currency

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 7, 2012

 

Anthony Edwards, a/k/a “Forty,” a/k/a “Tone,” of Philadelphia, PA was charged today by Indictment with one count of conspiracy, one count of possession of counterfeit currency with intent to defraud and four counts of dealing in counterfeit currency, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 105 years imprisonment; 3 years supervised release; $1,500,000 fine; and $600 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Terri A. Marinari.
