June 26, 2006 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an Indictment* against Victor Cruz, charging him with three counts of bank robbery. Cruz has been charged with robbing the Wachovia banks located at 2 W. Girard Avenue and at 601 W. Erie Avenue, and the Citizens Bank located at 3711 Germantown Avenue.

If convicted, Cruz faces 60 years imprisonment, a $750,000 fine, 3 years supervised release, and a $300 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Virgil B. Walker.
