United States Attorney's Office News Release

 

June 9, 2006 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an Indictment* against Yosef Lautman, charging that in April 2006, he passed and possessed over $16,000 in counterfeit United States currency.

If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 140 years imprisonment, 3 years supervised release, a $1,750,000 fine, and a $700 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the United States Secret Service, the Philadelphia Police Department, and the Middletown Police Department, and has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Nancy E. Potts.
