June 21, 2006 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an indictment* against Craig Lindsey, charging that on or about August 25, 2005, he knowingly and intentionally distributed 18.64 grams of cocaine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), (b)(1)(C); that on or about August 30, 2005, he knowingly and intentionally distributed 17.14 grams of cocaine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), (b)(1)(C).; that on or about September 1, 2005, he knowingly and intentionally possessed with the intent to distribute approximately 16.6 grams of cocaine base, that is, “crack” cocaine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), (b)(1)(B); that on or about September 1, 2005, he knowingly and intentionally possessed with the intent to distribute approximately 485.5 grams of cocaine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), (b)(1)(C).; that on or about September 1, 2005, he possessed a Ruger P97DC, .45 caliber semi-automatic firearm, serial number 663-45991, loaded with 8 live rounds in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 924(c)(1)(A); and that on or about September 1, 2005, he was a felon in possession of a Ruger P97DC, .45 caliber semi-automatic firearm, serial number 663-45991, loaded with 8 live rounds, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 922(g)(1).

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum penalty of lifetime imprisonment
with a mandatory minimum period of incarceration of 15 years, a fine of 10,500,000
