June 14, 2006 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an indictment* charging Zacharias Nelson, Jr., 34, of 511 Selma St., Apt. 6C, Norristown, PA, with possession with intent to distribute of fifty grams or more of cocaine base (“crack”), in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 841(a)(1) and (b)(1)(A)(iii), and possession of fifty grams or more of cocaine base (“crack”) with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 860(a).
If convicted, Nelson faces a mandatory minimum of 20 years imprisonment, to a maximum of life imprisonment, followed by a mandatory minimum of ten years supervised release, to lifetime supervised release, and a fine of $16,000,000.
