States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an
Indictment* charging defendant Ronald Richard Smith with one count of bank
robbery. The indictment charges that the defendant committed the robbery
of the Sovereign Bank, 2000 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA on May 30,
2006. The defendant is facing a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment,
3 years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
