October 11, 2006 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of a four count indictment* charging that between July, 2006 and August 30, 2006, Cory Harris sold $2820 in counterfeit $10 and $20 Federal Reserve Notes, and on August 30, 2006, he possessed $1150 in counterfeit $10 and $20 Federal Reserve Notes.

If convicted, the defendant faces a statutory maximum sentence of 80 years imprisonment, $1,000,000 fine, 3 years supervised release, and a $400 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Philadelphia Police Department, the Newtown Township Police Department, the Northampton Township Police Department, the Upper Southampton Township Police Department, and the United States Secret Service. The case has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Marianne Cox.
