United States Attorney's Office News Release

 

October 20, 2006 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan announced the filing of a nine-count indictment* charging Joseph Saunders, with nine counts of bank robbery, for committing a string of bank robberies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania between August 28, 2006 and October 11, 2006.

These cases were investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, along with the Philadelphia Police Department and the Upper Darby Police Department. Upon conviction, Saunders faces a maximum statutory sentence of 180 years imprisonment, 3 years supervised release, and a $2,250,000 fine.
