July 13, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an Indictment* against John Stroud, a/k/a “Johnnie Stroud,” charging him with dealing in counterfeit currency, possession of counterfeit currency, and manufacture of counterfeit currency. Defendant was arrested on June 13, 2007. This case was investigated by the United States Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. If convicted, defendant faces a maximum of 60 years imprisonment and a substantial fine.
