United States Attorney's Office News Release

 

March 29, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan and Lehigh County District Attorney James B. Martin today announced the filing of a three count indictment* charging TRAMELL BLEDSOE with armed bank robbery, using a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and felon in possession of a firearm. The indictment charges that on December 21, 2006, the defendant used a handgun to rob the Lafayette Ambassador Bank, 402 State Avenue, Emmaus, Pennsylvania. The defendant stole approximately $19,603 in United States currency during the robbery.

If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum sentence of lifetime imprisonment with a minimum mandatory of seven years imprisonment, a $750,000 fine, five years supervised release and a $300 special assessment. The case was investigated by the Emmaus Police Department, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The case has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney John M. Gallagher.
