May 16, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan today announced the filing of an Information* against Eric Lucas, charging that he willfully evaded federal income taxes for the years 1998 through 2001.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison, three years supervised release, $1,000,000 fine, $400 special assessment, costs of prosecution, and tax due in the amount of $191,040.27 plus interest and penalties.

The case was investigated by the Internal Revenue Service and has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Amy L. Kurland.
