According to U.S. Attorney Pfannenschmidt, in June 2009,
John Doe, a/k/a “Juan Castro” was arrested by Eastern Adams
Regional Police Department for driving offenses. At that time,
he allegedly told police that he was a United States citizen,
born in California. During further interviews by Immigration and
Custom Enforcement Detention and Removal Agents with the
assistance of a Spanish speaking Adams County Detention Center
officer, Doe admitted that he was not a citizen of the United
States. A search of Pennsylvania state records revealed that
John Doe allegedly obtained a Pennsylvania driver’s license and If convicted of all the charges, John Doe faces life
imprisonment and fines of up to $750,000. This case is being investigated by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Eastern Adams County Police Department and the Adams County Detention Center and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daryl F. Bloom.
