MONROE COUNTY DRUG DEALER SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS IN PRISON

Martin C. Carlson, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, announced that a Monroe County man was sentenced today by U.S. District Court Judge Richard P. Conaboy to serve five years in prison for crack cocaine trafficking in October 2007.

Carlson stated that Greg Jones, also known as “LG,” age 29, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute more than five grams of crack cocaine.

Jones was charged as a result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and local police in Monroe County. Judge Conaboy also ordered Jones to be placed on four years of supervised release after serving his prison sentence. Jones must also pay a $100 special assessment.

Carlson noted that the case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Francis P. Sempa.
