New Brighton Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A Beaver County man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh for violating federal child sexual exploitation laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
The one‑count indictment, returned on Nov. 16, 2010, and unsealed today, names Nathan Morgan, 31, as the sole defendant.
According to the indictment, Morgan, from June 14, 2010, to July22, 2010, possessed visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of up to 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting this case on behalf of the United States.
The Pennsylvania State Police conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.
