Deported Alien Sentenced To Time Served For Illegally Being Present In U.S.
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - An individual found in Scott Township, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to time served in jail from Sept. 6, 2011 to the present on his conviction of re-entry into the United States after deportation, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Senior United States District Judge Gustave Diamond imposed the sentence on Efrain Sanchez-Rosas, 34, a citizen of Mexico.
According to information presented to the court, Efrain Sanchez-Rosas, an alien, was formally removed from the United States by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Sept. 26, 2008. Efrain Sanchez-Rosas was found to be illegally present on Sept. 6, 2011, in Scott Township.
Assistant United States Attorney Paul E. Hull prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Sanchez-Rosas.
