April 23, 2012

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - A resident of South Fork, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to 100 months in prison and fifteen years supervised release on his conviction of receipt and possessing child pornography, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.

United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Brian K. Dagostino, II, 27.

According to information presented to the court, on or about July 4, 2008, and Aug. 22, 2008, Dagostino knowingly received visual depictions and possessed videos as computer graphic files containing images of child pornography, which had been shipped and transported in interstate or foreign commerce by means of a computer.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie L. Haines prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Pennsylvania State Police Area III Computer Crimes Task Force, with the assistance of Ferguson Township Police Department, for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Dagostino.
