Deported Alien Sentenced to Time-Served for Illegally Returning to U.S.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A resident of Pittsburgh has been sentenced in federal court to time served on his conviction of re-entry into the United States after deportation, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.

United States District Judge Terrence F. McVerry imposed the sentence on Felipe Camacho-Segunda, 27, a native of Mexico.

According to indictment, Felipe Camacho-Segunda, an alien, was formally removed from the United States by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Sept. 11, 2011. Felipe Camacho-Segunda was found on Nov. 15, 2012, by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Assistant United States Attorney Paul E. Hull is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.

U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police for the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.
