The mission of the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Rhode Island is to serve and protect those who reside in and visit Rhode Island and to improve their health, safety, and quality of life by providing both strong federal leadership and cohesive partnerships with state and local law enforcement agencies. Our goal is to maintain the public trust by adherence to the highest ethical and professional standards. We prosecute violations of federal criminal law, defend the United States in civil cases, and vigorously collect debts owed to the federal government.
