Three Woonsocket Residents Indicted For February 2009 Home Invasion
Julio Candelario, a/k/a “Macho” age 29, Robert P. Beauparlant, Jr., a/k/a “Bibet” age 26, and Pedro L. Cuadrado, a/k/a “Pedy” age 20, all of Woonsocket, were indicted by a federal grand jury on May, 13, 2009, and charged in a nine count indictment with federal robbery, narcotics, and gun charges. All three defendants are being held without bail. The charges arise from a 2009 home invasion in the City of Providence.
United States Attorney Robert Clark Corrente, ATF Resident Agent In Charge Mark W. Curtin, and Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas Carey jointly announced the indictment. Chief Carey said, “This is the beginning of a joint federal/local effort in the City of Woonsocket aimed at curbing firearms and drug activity in our city.”
If convicted of all counts, the defendants face a maximum of life imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. ATF and the Woonsocket Police Department investigated the case and it is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard W. Rose.
1 An indictment is merely an allegation and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
