Columbia, South Carolina ---- United States Attorney Bill Nettles stated today that Hollis Frenchman Gray, Jr., age 42, of Seneca, was sentenced today in federal court in Greenville, for possession of child pornography, a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2255A.  Senior United States District Judge Henry M. Herlong, Jr. of Greenville sentenced Gray to 33 months imprisonment.

Evidence presented at the change of plea hearing established that on June 5, 2012, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Gray=s residence in Oconee County.  Computers and other storage media were seized.  A forensic examination of Gray=s computers and other storage device revealed images of children, under the age of 18, engaged in sexual conduct or the lascivious display of the genitals.  A total of 191 images of child pornography were found on Gray’s computer.

The case was investigated by agents of the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Investigations.  Assistant United States Attorney Bill Watkins of the Greenville office handled the case.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
