Luncheon for the 2012 Strom Thurmond Awards for Excellence in Law Enforncement
COLUMBIA, SC -- United States Attorney Bill Nettles’ Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers’ Association (SCLOEA) will host a luncheon today, Friday, December 7, 2012, for the presentation of the 2012 Strom Thurmond Awards for Excellence in Law Enforcement. Each year awards are presented to a city, county, state, and federal law enforcement officer who have demonstrated the highest ideals of excellence in professional law enforcement. The awards ceremony will be attended by more than 130 law enforcement officers throughout the state.
The 2012 awards luncheon will be held at the Fort Jackson Officers’ Club at Fort Jackson. Lunch will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the awards program will be begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. The names of award recipients will be announced during the luncheon.
