Federal Grand Jury Indictments

Columbia, South Carolina -----United States Attorney Bill Nettles stated today that a Federal Grand Jury in Columbia, South Carolina, returned Indictment(s) against the following:

Aiken Resident and Mexican National Charged with Immigration Violations
Abizahi Garduno-Rivera a/k/a Afrain Guzman, age 34, of Aiken, charged with illegal reentry, after being convicted of an aggravated felony and deported, a violation of Title 8, United States Code, Section 1326(a)(2). The case was investigated by agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney William E. Day, II of the Columbia office for prosecution.

The United States Attorney stated that all charges in these Indictments are merely accusations and that all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
