Rosebud Woman Indicted for Concealing Person From Arrest

October 19, 2009
Pierre, SD

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Rosebud, South Dakota, woman has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Concealing a Person From Arrest. Mary Lambert, age 33, was indicted by a federal grand jury on October 13, 2009, for Concealing a Person From Arrest. She appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on October 19, 2009, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is one year in custody, a $100,000 fine, or both; one year of supervised release; and a $25.00 Special Assessment. Restitution may also be ordered. The charge relates to Lambert’s alleged harboring and concealing a person for whom a federal arrest warrant had been issued. The charge is merely an accusation, and Lambert is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Eric Kelderman is prosecuting the case. Lambert was released on bond pending trial. A trial date has not yet been set. # # #
