Kyle Man Sentenced for Illegal Possession of a Firearm

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Kyle man charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm was sentenced on November 3, 2009, by Chief US District Judge Karen E. Schreier. Stephen White Lance, age 29, was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment, 3 years supervised release, and a $100 victims assessment. White Lance was originally indicted for Unlawful User of a Controlled Substance and Felon in Possession of a Firearm by a federal grand jury on May 19, 2009. In February 2009, White Lance, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a .22 caliber semiautomatic pistol. On August 20, 2009, White Lance pled guilty to Felon in Possession of a Firearm. This case was investigated by the RCPD and ATF. Assistant US Attorney Mark A. Vargo prosecuted the case. White Lance was immediately turned over to the custody of the US Marshal. # # #
