Eagle Butte Man Sentenced to 121 Months for Sexual Contact with Children

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that an Eagle Butte man who pled guilty to two counts of Sexual Contact with Children was sentenced on January 3, 2011, by United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Jerry Farlee, age 58, was sentenced to 121 months in custody, 3 years of supervised release, a $15,000 fine, $13,090 in restitution, and a $150 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund.

Farlee was indicted for Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child and Sexual Contact with a Child by a federal grand jury on March 9, 2010. The charges relate to Farlee having sexual contact with female children, who were younger than 12 years of age, on different occasions from 1993 to 2001. Farlee pled guilty to a superseding information on October 12, 2010.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Mikal Hanson prosecuted the case.

Farlee was immediately turned over to the custody of the United States Marshal to being serving his sentence.
