United States Attorney Brendan V. United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange sentenced Brian Roach, age 39, to 126 months in custody, 5 years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund.
Roach was indicted by a federal grand jury in March 2010 for an incident of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child near La Plant, South Dakota. The charge alleged that between March 1999 and February 2002, Roach sexually abused a female child who was younger than 12 years of age.

Roach was immediately turned over to the custody of the United States Marshal to begin serving his sentence.
