United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Dupree woman charged with Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute Vicoprofen (a combination Hydrocodone product) was sentenced on August 15, 2011, by United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Jennifer Brown Wolf, also known as Jennifer Clown, age 30, was sentenced to one month in custody, two years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund.

Brown Wolf was indicted by a federal grand jury on April 12, 2011. Her husband, Leland Brown Wolf, received a prescription for Vicoprofen between September 2009 and January 2011. Jennifer Brown Wolf conspired with her husband to distribute some of the Vicoprofen pills he received by prescription. An individual working with the Division of Criminal Investigation made controlled purchases of Vicoprofen from Jennifer Brown Wolf on November 15, 2010. Brown Wolf pled guilty on May 24, 2011.

This case was investigated by the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Jay Miller prosecuted the case.

Brown Wolf will report to the United States Marshal’s Service on October 21, 2011, to begin serving her sentence.
