United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Gillman Roddy Long, a/k/a Dave Gillman Long, age 45, of Pine Ridge, was convicted of two counts of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child as a result of a federal jury trial in Rapid City on July 7. Long was indicted by a federal grand jury for three counts of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child on July 21, 2009. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Sarah B. Collins and Britt M. Haxton. A presentence investigation was ordered, and a sentencing date was set for September 30, 2011. The defendant was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal.
