FEDERAL GRAND JURY INDICTS JOHNSON CITY MAN ON CHARGE OF
BEING A FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM
[Greeneville, TN] -On Tuesday, April 8, 2008, a Federal Grand Jury in Greeneville indicted Yancy Leon Radford of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
If convicted, Radford, 23, of Johnson City, Tennessee, faces a term of imprisonment not to exceed ten (10) years, a $250,000.00 fine, three (3) years supervised release, and a $100.00 mandatory assessment fee.
The indictment of McInturff is the result of an investigation by the Johnson City Police Department.
Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Brian Clay Johnson presented the case to the grand jury, and will prosecute the case to its conclusion. Johnson is assigned to prosecute criminal offenses that occur in Johnson City, Tennessee, or affect Johnson City arising under the purview of the Projects Safe Neighborhoods funded by Johnson City, and in conjunction with the Johnson City Police Department, District Attorney General Tony Clark, and the United States Attorney’s Office.
Members of the public are reminded that an indictment constitutes only charges and that every person is presumed innocent until their guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
