
CARJACKING DEFENDANT SENTENCED TO
204 MONTHS INCARCERATION
Memphis, Tenn - Lawrence Harper, also known as Lawrence Harris, Lawrence Blue, “Lomax,” and “Lo-
Mac,” age 29, of Memphis, Tennessee, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge S. Thomas Anderson
to 204 months incarceration, announced Edward L. Stanton, III, United States Attorney for the Western
District of Tennessee.
According to the statement of facts made by Assistant United States Attorney Justin L. Bailey to U.S.
District Judge S. Thomas Anderson, on September 15, 2007, Harper and his co-defendant, Travis
Bowdery, robbed and carjacked their victim in the parking lot of the Silver Spoon night club and
restaurant, located at 6063 Mt. Moriah, absconding with several-thousand dollars worth of jewelry and a
2006 Cadillac DTS automobile. On February 22, 2011, Harper was convicted of three counts of a sixcount
indictment after a seven day trial. Those charges include Harper being a felon in possession of a
firearm, carjacking, aiding and abetting and carrying and using a firearm during and in relation to a crime
of violence. Bowdery is set for sentencing July 15, 2011 before Judge Anderson.

Safe Neighborhoods unit and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Justin L. Bailey.
