Conviction in Pizza Hut Deliveryman Case
Memphis, TN - LOUIE HOLLOWAY, age 26, was convicted on February 13, 2008 after a jury trial before United States District Judge Samuel H. Mays, Jr. on charges involving the September 8, 2002 attempted robbery and shotgun murder of Pizza Hut deliveryman John Stambaugh in midtown Memphis announced David Kustoff, United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee. HOLLOWAY was convicted of attempted robbery affecting commerce, carrying a firearm during a crime of violence, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. HOLLOWAY is set to be sentenced on May 21, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. He faces up to life in prison.
This case was investigated by Memphis Police Department Homicide Squad, Safe Streets Task Force, and Project Safe Neighborhood. Assistant United States Attorney Tony Arvin is handling the case on behalf of the United States Attorney’s Office.
