Bank Robber Sentenced to 15 Years
Memphis, TN - United States Attorney David Kustoff announced today that Willam C. Kicklighter has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison. On February 26, 2008, United States District Judge J. Daniel Breen sentenced Kicklighter, age 20 of Memphis, to 15 years for his commission of 2 armed bank robberies. Kicklighter robbed the Bancorp South at 7800 Winchester on May 3, 2006, and the Trust One Bank at 1010 N. Germantown Road on June 2, 2006.
The cases was investigated by the Safe Streets Task Force, a joint federal/local task force organized by the Memphis Police Department, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI. Assistant United States Attorney Tony Arvin is handling the case on behalf of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
