WEST LIBERTY MAN GUILTY OF METH VIOLATIONS
BEAUMONT, TX – United States Attorney John L. Ratcliffe announced today that a 28-year-old West Liberty man has pleaded guilty to federal drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
PAUL KEITH DICKEY admitted to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine today before United States District Judge Thad Heartfield.
According to information presented in court, an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in Southeast Texas resulted in the arrest on January 6, 2007 of Dickey on Interstate-10. Over 50 grams of methamphetamine was discovered at the time of the arrest.
Dickey faces up to 40 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $2 million. A sentencing date has not been set.
This case is being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John A. Craft.
