TYLER, TX – United States Attorney John L. Ratcliffe announced today that a Kilgore couple has been sentenced to federal prison for methamphetamine related charges in the Eastern District of Texas. 

DOYLA HATZKY, 42, and ROBERT HATZKY, 43, were each sentenced to 24 months in federal prison late yesterday by United States District Judge Leonard E. Davis. 

According to information presented in court, a search warrant was executed at the Hatzky’s home on August 10, 2006 during which approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine and 12 firearms were recovered.  The Hatzkys were indicted in December 2006 and each charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.  They pleaded guilty on February 5, 2007. 

            This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office and the Gregg County CODE Unit and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard L. Moore.
