BEAUMONT SEMINAR WILL ADDRESS LEGAL DOVE HUNTING METHODS
BEAUMONT, TX – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas is sponsoring a Dove Hunt Legal Seminar on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the Jefferson County Jury Impaneling Room, 1001 Pearl Street, Beaumont.
The seminar, held in conjunction with the Texas Cooperative Extension Service, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Service, will begin at 6:00 pm and is expected to conclude by 9:00 pm.
The seminar will address the legal and unauthorized methods of planting crops in anticipation of the upcoming dove hunting season. Featured speaker will be Dr. Larry Redmon, a Texas A&M Professor and a Forage Specialist for the Texas Cooperative Extension Service. Dr. Redmon will speak on winter pasture establishment and summer planting for doves.
United States Fish and Wildlife Service Agents and Texas Game Wardens will also address federal and state laws concerning dove hunting over agricultural lands. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion during the presentation.
