            (TYLER, TX)   United States Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a Gregg County man has pleaded guilty to drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
COREY MONTEZ ALLEN, also known as Nanny, 20, from Longview, Texas, admitted to being involved in a conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and distribution of cocaine and cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine, as well as a firearms charge, during an appearance this morning before United States Magistrate Judge John Love.

            According to information presented in court, an investigation began in January of 2008 into the distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine in East Texas by Allen.  A  two-count federal information was filed, charging the Allen with the federal violations. 

Allen faces a sentence of up to twenty years imprisonment and a fine up to $1 million for the drug charge and an additional five years imprisonment and $250,000 fine for the firearms charge.  A sentencing date has not been set at this time.
            This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Richard L. Moore.
