GREGG COUNTY MAN SENTENCED FOR FEDERAL DRUG VIOLATIONS
TYLER, TX – United States Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a 29-year-old Longview man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
RAUL BERUMEN BRISENO pleaded guilty to being involved in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine on September 18, 2007 and was sentenced today to 87 months in federal prison by United States District Judge Leonard E. Davis.
According to information presented in court, an investigation revealed that Briseno was selling multiple ounces of methamphetamine in the Longview area. On June 5, 2007, a federal indictment was returned by the grand jury charging Briseno with federal drug violations.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard L. Moore.
