MEXICAN NATIONAL SENTENCED FOR ILLEGALLY RE-ENTERING THE US
SHERMAN TX – United States Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced that a 22-year-old Mexican National residing in McKinney, Texas has been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for illegally re-entering the United States.
MIGUEL ALERTO JUAREZ-JUAREZ pleaded guilty on November 29, 2007 to illegally re-entering the United States after having previously been deported and was sentenced today by United States District Judge Michael Schneider. After serving the term of imprisonment, Miguel Alberto Juarez-Juarez is to be deported from the United States.
A federal grand jury previously returned a 1-count indictment on October 11, 2007 charging Miguel Alberto Juarez-Juarez with being an illegal alien that unlawfully reentered the United States.
This case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michele A. Ratcliffe.
