LONGVIEW WOMAN SENTENCED FOR WIRE FRAUD

 

TYLER, TX --            United States Attorney John L. Ratcliffe announced today that a 37-year-old Longview woman has been sentenced to 27 months in federal prison in the Eastern District of Texas for wire fraud.

            TERRI LYNN REYNOLDS was sentenced today by United States District Judge Michael H. Schneider.  She was also ordered to pay $386,074.14 in restitution.    

            According to information provided in court, from approximately October 2002 to March 28, 2006, Reynolds was employed by Burns and Noble as their full charge bookkeeper.  Burns and Noble is a Tyler company that acts as a leasing agent on behalf of individual and corporate owners.  While serving as bookkeeper, Reynolds devised a scheme to defraud Burns and Noble and their clients which resulted in the misappropriation of $336,074.14 from the property owners.         

            The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Allen Hurst.
